Performance is our top squad in the club with the opportunity to train up to 8 times a week (see training timetable below). These athletes will have the opportunity to race competitively at the BUCS short course, long course and team competitions as well as other competitions and cups throughout the year.
Competition is our next squad who have the opportunity to train up to 5 times a week. These athletes also have the opportunity to compete at competitions and cups throughout the year, such as Christie Cup and Steel Cup.
Development is our final swimming squad with the opportunity to train up to twice a week. Development is a squad for both casual swimmers who would like to maintain their fitness and for those wishing to improve to the competition standard. Development swimmers will also have the opportunity to compete at some galas alongside the competition squad, such as Steel Cup.
MEN'S 1s AND DEVELOPMENT
Men's 1s and development squad have the same training times, all that differs is match play. There are BUCS matches on Wednesday afternoons throughout the term which are largely played by the 1s.
